Mt Kisco Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to the philosophy that preventive care allows us to diagnose problems early, and provide a variety of treatment options that help our patients live long, happy, healthy lives.
We utilize the most modern techniques and equipment and have developed a team of skilled and caring support staff who share our goal to achieve an excellent level of care for every patient.
Our team recognizes the very special bond between pets and their owners. We’ll work hard to help preserve the human-animal bond through compassionate, individualized care for your pet.
At Mt. Kisco Veterinary Clinic, we believe that preventive care is the cornerstone of longevity and comfort in our patients. During their routine wellness screening, your pet undergoes a thorough physical examination, as well as basic labwork to screen for fecal parasites, heartworms, and tick-borne diseases. We also stress the importance of year-round parasite prevention at home, weight management, and oral health maintenance, to avoid preventable disease.
There are not enough stars for us to rate MKVC. We, as first-time parents to an English Mastiff Tonka (and a later adopted cat, Chairman Meow) always felt we had found the right clinic to oversee the health and well being of our fur babies. My mind was made up when, the first time we met Dr. Olsen, I reached my hand out to greet him and introduce myself but he had already dropped to his knee and was engaged with and nuzzling Tonka.
Later on, it was Operation Rescue Reagan that brought our relationship to a new level. This is really where we learned about how special each and every staff member is. From the moment I called about this stray dog they received us immediately and without hesitation. The ten days we had him, MKVC never left our side. They guided us in every aspect through this experience. Dr. Albert was professional, honest and sensitive from beginning to his peaceful end. Reagan was a life-changing experience for us and everyone at MKVC is a part of that. From answering a phone call, clinical management, daily care, being reachable outside hours, the exceptional behind the scenes work from Kristen to clearing the office and gathering with us as we all said goodbye. In our hearts, we feel MKVC is the most genuine, loving, trusted place to bring our babies. Thank you, everyone at MKVC, for your dedication.Leener S.
Mt. Kisco Veterinary has been nothing but the best in any situation! From helping me through my 21 year old cats last few years of life, to welcoming a rescue puppy whos now a year. I wouldnt trust my fur babies with any other vet!Kim J.
Amazing veterinary office! Every doctor, assistant and front desk personnel know your animal by name and takes a moment to make them feel at ease. My dog thinks he’s going on a play date and drags me into the door! What more can ask?Isa A.
Mt. Kisco Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1981 by Dr. Joseph Haddad, and it quickly became an important part of the local community. In 2004, Dr. Gwen Sherman and Mimi Raleigh started the next chapter of the practice by upgrading equipment and developing strong relationships with local veterinary specialists in our area. Dr. Sherman remains as the sole owner of the practice and has truly succeeded at maintaining a tight-knit, family environment with a strong standard of medical care.
