Kristen Lombardi, CVPM, PHR
Hospital AdministratorKristen, our hospital administrator, joined the MKVC team in early 2014. Kristen grew up working in veterinary practices in various roles involving both patient care and client service. After graduating from Manhattan College with a degree in Business Management, she attained additional certifications, including her CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) and PHR (Professional in Human Resources). Kristen’s veterinary management experience includes both general practice and emergency and referral hospital settings. Kristen’s passion for animals is apparent in all aspects of her life. She is also a horseback riding instructor, teaching children as young as age 3 all about the human-animal bond. Her family includes her husband Jordan, her son Oliver, and their pets, Ralphie (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), Angel (Chihuahua), and Carmine (Belgian Cross). When she isn’t working, Kristen enjoys trail riding, restaurants, beaches, and concerts. Her husband is a DJ, and they share a love for music. Kristen’s favorite movie is Cruel Intentions—don’t laugh! She’s a ‘90s kid.
Deborah A. Woods, LVT
Veterinary TechnicianDebbie is a retired police officer who came to MKVC in 2002 on a whim because of a PennySaver ad. As it turns out, veterinary care was her true calling, and she has never been happier. Debbie’s loyalty to MKVC is admirable because she travels from Brooklyn to Mount Kisco every day, and is amazingly always on time. Debbie recently completed the veterinary technician program at Penn Foster and attained her NYS veterinary technician license. Debbie has a passion for learning, and she attends dozens of lectures each year. Her next goal is to pursue a specialty in veterinary dentistry (she will never stop going to school). Debbie’s family includes her two children, Meghann and Patrick; her partner, Yvette; her dogs, Saoirse (Great Dane), Artemis (Great Dane), and Caoimhe (Toy Poodle); and her cats, Elton, Belleza, Socrates, Maya, and Talcum (African Grey). Debbie enjoys reading and sports, especially ice hockey. The most amazing place she has ever traveled to is Amsterdam, and her favorite movie is the Sound of Music. If Debbie won a million dollars, she would buy a home closer to MKVC!
Robyn Miller, LVT
Veterinary TechnicianRobyn joined the MKVC team in February 2014 after completing the veterinary technician program at SUNY Delhi. Robyn has always loved animals, and she is enjoying the family atmosphere at the practice. Her feline family includes Alexia, DJ, Roxy, Casey, and Eddie; she really connects with cats. Robyn’s special talent is singing, and she has performed a solo with her high school choir at Carnegie Hall. The most amazing place she has ever traveled is Israel, she loves Disney, and her favorite movie is Mrs. Doubtfire. If Robyn won a million dollars, she would definitely open up an animal shelter.
Erica Harmon, LVT
Veterinary TechnicianErica graduated from LaGuardia Community College with her Veterinary Technology degree in 2011. After being laid off from a corporate job, and nursing her sick cat, she realized her passion for animals and decided to become a licensed technician. Erica has developed a special interest in pet dentistry, and she looks forward to advancing her skills. Outside of work, Erica loves to hike, horseback ride, knit and read. She plays bass and sings harmonies with her husband Patrick in their band The Party Faithful. Prior to becoming a vet tech, Erica worked as a personal assistant to a celebrity stylist, and wrote copy for the fragrance section of the AVON brochure. She has four lovely feline companions: Hossifer Jones, Apache, Sky Jr, and Honeybee. Her favorite movie is Harold and Maude, and her favorite books are The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Soygal Rinpoche and Just Kids by Patti Smith.
Veterinary AssistantErika joined the MKVC team in April 2012. She works full time at MKVC and part-time at a local emergency/specialty hospital. Erika loves helping animals and feels like she was born to work in this field. The team at MKVC has become her second family. Erika has a great way of working with cats. Her family includes Dani (Rottweiler/Golden Retriever) and Amber (cat). In her free time, Erika enjoys spending time with friends and playing soccer. Erika’s favorite movie is This Is The End, and she loves the Twilight novels. Everyone at the practice knows she loves the color pink and pop music.
Erika is pictured with Yami who periodically works as a veterinary assistant with MKVC.
James D. Young
Veterinary AssistantJay has been a part of the MKVC team since October 2008. His loyalty and dedication to the practice are admirable. James is well known for his sense of humor, selecting our music, and keeping “mean time.” He works hard every single minute of his day, and never wastes any time. Recently, Jay has become a big advocate of laser therapy in our practice. If your pet is undergoing treatment, you will probably run into him. In his free time, Jay likes to exercise, coach youth athletics, root for the Steelers, and watch USA soccer. The most amazing place he has ever been is Medieval Times, and his favorite movie is Raising Arizona. Special talent? Bird calling.
Veterinary AssistantPatty joined the MKVC team in October of 2011 after working at a local emergency/specialty practice. She always wanted to work with animals. After entering college as an art major, she changed her mind and followed her passion. Even though her role at our practice is client service oriented, she has a vast knowledge of veterinary medicine because she completed the technician program at Mercy College! Patty’s family includes her husband, Chris; their four children (Kristen, Brianne, Kenny, and Megan); two cats (Ringo and Sally); and the bunny with a lot of personality, Peanut. Patty has weird luck when it comes to winning concert tickets, and the most amazing place she has visited is Hawaii. Her favorite movie is the original Wuthering Heights with Laurence Olivier.
Judith De Maria
Veterinary AssistantJudith joined the team in December 2014 after running her own dog training business and working at one of London’s oldest Scientific Institutions, The Royal Society. If you’ve called our practice and noticed a very pleasant accent, you’ve met Judith! She went to school for Zoology and chose to become a certified dog trainer because she feels animals can teach humans quite a bit. Judith enjoys helping people understand their pets and bringing harmony to their homes. Her family includes three lovely children, Lucy, Sam, and Tom, as well as two dogs (Daisy and Max) and a lizard named Star. Judith spends her free time gardening, reading, and cooking. Her “favourite” place is Edinburgh, and movie – My Cousin Vinny. At MKVC, we are grateful that she’s taught us a whole new vocabulary of English sayings! With a million dollars, Judith would buy a nice bottle of single malt and a castle in the highlands for her pack of dogs.
